Michelle Napier Lane is an author/illustrator who grew up in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Since she was in kindergarten, Michelle knew that she wanted to be an artist and spent many hours at the kitchen table drawing (mostly horses). She graduated with a degree in graphic design from the University of Houston and she drove her professors crazy by sneaking a horse into almost every project that she was assigned. They would be very surprised to see that her first children's book is not about a horse. However, it is about peanut butter and elephants - both of which she loves almost as much as horses!
